This is the handout for Sunday night's webinar with Diane Barber from PACCA and Blair Hyatt from PHSA introducing you to the 2021 Early Childhood Summit. The webinar will include how to access the Summit portal, what's in the portal, how to access sessions, evaluations, exhibitors, and everything Summit. The session will be recorded andposted here after the webinar.
Participants will receive an ECE Summit certificate via email before January 15, 2022. In the meantime, the completed Professional Development Verification Form (the 11” x 16” 2-part white & yellow form) signed by a member of the Summit conference staff can be used to document the professional development hours you earned attending the Summit.
Unfortunately, Summit Staff do not have access to the Registry, but on Monday & Tuesday staff from the PA Key will be stationed directly across from the Attendee Registration and they will be able to help you. Unfortunately, they will not be available on Wednesday.
Workshops conducted at the Early Childhood Summit meet the guidelines for Department of Human Services (DHS) hours and Keystone STARS professional development activity credits. Attendees who want DHS/STARS (PQAS) credits will need to know their PD Registry # to ensure that their individual history is updated in the PA Key database.
Act 48 requires all Pennsylvania educators holding Pennsylvania public school certification to earn 180 hours of continuing professional education every five years to maintain active status. One credit equals 30 hours. All credits and hours must be related to an educator’s certification. Attendees may earn Act 48 hours towards their PA Professional I or II Certification. If you do not hold Pennsylvania public school certification, you do not need Act 48 credit.
The Virtual Exhibit Hall will be active on Monday and Tuesday during Summit. There will be blocks of time within the Summit schedule where Exhibits will be "live".
The Summit Marketplace opens Sunday, October 17, 2021.
