PRESENTER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Thank you for presenting at the 2019 Early Childhood Education Summit. We value your time and expertise and understand that when you present at the 2019 Early Childhood Education Summit, you are sharing more than your knowledge.  

Do presenters need to register?

Yes. To help us ensure that we are prepared for everyone, ALL presenters are required to register for the Summit and let us know when they will be on-site, even if they only plan on being present for their workshop.
 

Do presenters need to pay a registration fee?

We waive the registration fee for all LEAD presenters on the day of their workshop presentation, and offer a reduced, single day presenter registration fee of $100/day for any day they attend the Summit but are not presenting.

Can presenters have a co-presenter(s)?

Yes. However, only one co-presenter is eligible for a reduced co-presenter rate of $73 for the day that they are co-presenting in a workshop.


Where do presenters check-in?

Presenter registration is located on the main floor of the Penn Stater Conference Center. When presenters check-in, they will receive a copy of the conference program, the location of their workshop room, instructions, attendance sheets, and evaluations to be completed by participants in their session.


Besides presenting, are there other things presenters need to do?

The Summit provides Act 48 and DHS credits to attendees that request them. Presenters are asked to facilitate this process and are provided with the needed sign-in sheets, evaluations and instructions.


Will Summit provide laptops, projectors and/or other audio visual equipment?

No. Summit rooms are equipped with a flip chart, dry erase board & markers, a screen, a power source and a head table for materials. Because of the large number of concurrent workshops (up to 25 at any given Session time!) and high rental costs, Summit rooms will NOT have laptops, projectors, or audio equipment.

Room Set-Up

To maximize the amount of space available, the majority of rooms at the Summit will be set theater style.  There are a very limited number of rooms that will be set classroom style, providing attendees with a writing surface.

Audio-Visual Equipment

All Summit rooms are equipped with a flip chart, dry erase board & markers, a screen, a power source and a head table for materials. Summit DOES NOT supply LCD Projectors, Speakers, or Laptops

Sign-In Sheets & Evaluations

The Summit provides Act 48 and DHS credits to attendees that request them.  Presenters are asked to facilitate this process and are provided with the needed sign-in sheets, evaluations and instructions.

Co-Presenters

The Summit provides a reduced daily registration fee for one co-presenter for each workshop or $73 on the day of the presentation. Co-presenters must register for the Summit. Cancellations MUST be made in writing and emailed to info@earlychildhoodsummit.org.
